Chet Huber...

October 1, 1945- December 8, 2017
Chester "Chet" Huber, 72, of Sparta, died Friday December 8th, 2017 at his home in Sparta.
Chet was drafted into the US Army, served in the 11th Calvary from 1966-1967 in Vietnam. Chet was Honorably Discharged in 1967. He married Bonnie Hughes, together that had two children, Dawn and Bradley, and they later divorced.
He met Joan Kreutzer in 1983, and they later married. Chet worked for General Motors in Janesville for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, they moved to Sparta where he was able to enjoy hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved going on fishing trips to Canada with his son and nephews. Chet was a hunter safety instructor for many years while living in Sparta.
Chet is survived by his wife Joan, his son Bradley, 5 sisters: Alverna Greeno, Elizabeth Baur, Alberta Lebakken, Luella Greeno, and Letha (David) Wedeward. 4 brothers: Albert (Barb Huber, Duane (Linda) Huber, LeRoy (Avis) Huber, and Gerald Huber, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Ella, a daughter, Dawn Huber; 5 brothers: Ferdinand Huber, Raymond Huber, Wilmer (Winifred) Huber, Gerhart (Norma) Huber, and Victor Huber, and a sister, Selma (Jonny) Johnson.
A Masonic Service will be held at 1 pm on Friday December 15th at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home in Sparta. Full military honors provided by VFW post 2112 will follow immediately at the funeral home.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of services.
Bill Broeg Sr...

August 10, 1937 - December 2, 2016
William L. Broeg, Sr., age 79, of Janesville, died on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital, Madison. He was born in Newark, NJ, on August 10, 1937, the son of William “Ludwig” and Theresa (Roehrich) Broeg. He retired in 1999 from the Sprinkler Fitters Local 696 in New Jersey, relocating to Janesville afterwards. Bill was a simple man with many passions, sharing and teaching them to others along the way. A skilled craftsman in leatherwork, knot tying, walking sticks, canes and so much more. He was heavily involved as a leader, trainer and counselor with the Boy Scouts of America in both the Watchung Mountain District Council in NJ and the Glacier’s Edge Council in WI. Bill was an active member of the United Sprinkler Fitters Union 696, Milton Masonic Lodge 161, Evansville Masonic Lodge 32, Western Star 55, the Janesville Commandery #2, Gebal #2, Council #2, Scottish-Rite, York Rite, Eastern Star 81, Zor Shrine, Armistad Bingham 1862, and the Methodist Church. He enjoyed car/train shows and knife/ gun shows and pow wows.
He is survived by his companion, Laura Barker; four children: William Broeg, Jr., Cheryl (Mark) Blamires, Dawn (Chris) Stomski, and Anthony (Kelly) Broeg; five grandchildren: Meghan (Taylor) Moore, Zachary Broeg, Tyler Stomski, Todd Blamires, and Kaitlyn Broeg; Laura’s six children: Kim LaVigne, Sue Mulno, Melissa Barker, Rick (Sarah) Barker, Chad (Krystal) Barker, and Jessica Barker; Laura’s 13 grandchildren: Adam, Andrew, Alizabeth, Megan, Eric, Kaylynn, Cora, Chad, Cammie, Hannah, Robinson, Coleton and Ana; and her three great grandchildren: Ryder, Lilyana and Brantley; many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Theresa (Terri) L. Broeg; and sister, Marie G. (Broeg) Smith.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. For on-line condolences and registry: www.schneiderfuneraldirectors.com
Bill was thankful for his family, extended family, many friends and lodge brothers that made his life rich and full.
